Thanks to this thread and Marty I installed the dimmer on my 2018 Reflection 337RLS awning lights today. The adapter Marty makes snapped in perfectly. He even includes instructions and will include connectors for a nominal fee. The only weird thing I ran into was wire colors. Hot wire was WH/BL stripe, wires to LED strip was WH/BR stripe. So weird the color convention GD uses.

    Thanks again everyone!!

I've used these dimmers in the past and have been very happy with them (much cheaper).

These could easily be mounted underneath a cabinet for decor purposes and the ends could be stripped off to hard wire into your circuit; personally, I just purchased a bag of matching push connectors and attach them to the LED wires, this way if the dimmer fails it is an easy fix.

PS: So far, I have not had one of these dimmers fail, been using them for a few years now.

PPS: They are also available in white.

Just got my 2020 31 mb, found this thread, looks like a winner and I want to do it...but is this statement true? If so, should we be installing downstream of the switch? I see people taking about that and using the open bays under the grand design sticker, but no videos and I am NOT electrical savvy.

Not only would I like to dim my overhead and awning, but also the lights above the rear dinette and the lights above the sofa that have individual rocket switches.

I also see here where people have done this. Does Marty supply those parts also?

These dimmers have a OFF position. They don't completely shut the lights off at minimum dimming but do have a off position in the full counterclockwise rotation

The switch has the extra (12v?) connection and I'm curious, what is the correct wiring for this replacement dimmer?

Here's the switch I'm attempting to use: Amazon link

    Here's the panel:

    Back of the switch:
Top connection is ground, the middle is 12v when the switch is on or off. I've yet to register any voltage across the bottom connection. And yes, I've already added heat-shrink to the ground.

Thanks to everyone for all the great info on this forum. I am in the process of installing this dimmer in my 31MB for the ceiling and awning lights. I connected them according to the instructions and info on this forum. The lights come on on both but do not dim or turn off. Any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong. I greatly appreciate any input.

    Thanks in advance

Yojohn, thank you! I don't know why I thought I'd ruin something if I did that. I guess the worst that could happen would be to blow a fuse. Working perfect. Thanks again.
