Solitude Whole house water filter
Would any one have the part number for whole house water filter? It could be a after market filter as well. We don’t drink the water just to keep system clean. Thanks

What are you trying to filter? Do you want to keep sediment out, residential chlorine and trace organic chemicals or hardness (which causes scaling build up)?

Just sediment mainly. The water at the rv park is treated so scaling shouldn’t be a problem.

I installed a 16,000 grain water softener combined with the standard Camco water filter everyone uses.
Held in place with bungee cords.
lol
Not as pretty as others but works great.

Personally, I think all of the hoo hah over campground water is just silly, especially when the only thing we drink is bottled water, soda, beer, wine and rum (emphasis on the last 3) . However, our Solitude 374TH came with a filter and here's the exact replacement for the cartriodge that was supplied by the factory:

Hope this helps.
PS - I haven't had the coach for a year yet, but I pulled the filter for winterization and will put a new one in when I open it up in the spring.

Just in case you're unaware of it...
Your new Solitude should have a whole-house water filter already installed. It's similar to the one at the link below (similar, it's not this device).
http://www.campingworld.com/camco-ev...m-water-filter
It's a simple single-stage filter and won't have the finest-possible filter material in it on arrival. Some people upgrade it - you can find their stories here - but I'd guess that a lot of people don't bother, especially if they're not drinking the water.
First upgrade could be a filter medium with finer material to remove smaller stuff... maybe $25, easy to find, standard size, easy to replace in the system you'll get with your trailer.
If that's not enough you can add more stages, more and better filters, even a softener. Again, some here have done it.

Yes it had a filter, but somebody(me) forgot to take out when I ran antifreeze threw it for wintering. Lol I’m sure I could get by with out one and maybe even improve water pressure a bit. But it seems to help keep the little particle out of faucets and shower head. Thanks All!
