I posted this on FB but thought it might get some interest here as well.

We may be the last to discover this but the padded "disagreement separator" pulls straight up out of the way and stores easily behind the chairs. Within easy reach for those times when discussing the merits of NFL over Cooking Channel.

It is simply a friction fit, not bolts, screws, etc., just pull up.

Thanks! Didn't know that. This may come in handy the next time one of our cats decides to go exploring behind the chairs. It's hard to get them out of there. This might make it a little easier.
