    Oven Pilot Light

My new 2018 303RLS oven pilot won't stay lit when after baking turning off the oven. I can't imagine one has to light it each time. Anyone else have this problem and how to fix it.

Yes, you have to light the pilot light for the oven every time you want to use it. It's a safety feature.

Mine stays on as long as I leave it set to pilot on the knob. Which model oven do you have? The new Furrion?

Jim--I think that is my problem. I have been turning knob to off as I should be turning to pilot setting when done baking. I will try when sun comes up as rig is parked in front of my house. Thanks.

X2^^ - even for the old Atwood models. Just leave it on pilot (although we turn it off and relight every time since we mostly use the oven for storage).

Yes leave on pilot or light it each time. I keep ours off and re light each time unless we know we’ll be using the oven in the next 30 minutes or so.

Hmmmmm ...... the Furrion oven in our new 2018 303RLS has a piezo-electric igniter for the oven - works the same as the stove top burners. Should add that we just brought the new 303RLS home yesterday, so haven't had much time to play with it yet, but lighting the oven was included in the PDI.

I believe that 2018 was the changeover from gas pilot to piezo style, not sure. Older ones were propane pilot lights.

Yeah, and I really hate it. The pilot light is at the bottom of the oven, all the way in the back. So, I have to hold the control button, while my husband gets down on his knees to reach all the way back into the oven. to light the stupid thing.

A BBQ lighter with a built in LED light makes finding that pilot light location a lot easier.
