Holding tank size

Kinda surprised nobody does the midnight drip. In mn it's almost normal for dry campers to drain to the ground.

Not uncommon in AZ either...

Isn't it illegal in most states?

I called Grand Design and told them of my issue/concern about the two grey tanks being separate tanks and such small capacities. They said that they knew this was a design flaw ans would fix it for me. They sent a 70 gallon grey holding tank and all the required parts to my local RV shop and paid for all shipping labor etc. What a great company and great customer service they provide.

Sluggo, when did you call them, recently? Did you actually measure your usable capacities?

I called them after we went on our first dry camping trip with our 313rlts, I believe last july. We noticed that grey tank #2 filled up very fast even after being very conservative on dish washing and showers. Got the camper home after draining all the tanks. took a 5 gallon jerry can and put them into the shower 5 gallons at a time. Got about 30 gallons when tank #2 showed full, and tank # 1 empty. Thats when I called GD with this info, and got everything set up for the 70 gallon tank, all parts etc to be shipped to my local dealer to be installed. All paid for by GD. Thanks sluggo...I'm hoping they have corrected the manufacturing issue but I guess I'll preemptively perform my own jerry can test to determine actual capacity before we start dry camping this spring...
