Suugestions? Must do for kids in Northern CA and Southern OR

I am taking the kids on a Journey in July focused on starting in the Yosemite area traveling up to the Coos Bay area in OR and was wondering if there is must see things for small children? The kids will be 5, 6, 7 , 8 and 12 years old. Thank you

I’d say the Game Park in Bandon, OR. It’s a great little park with various exotic animals. The best part is if they have any baby animals, which they often do, they do presentations and then let the kids hold them. My kids have held baby lions, tigers, cheetahs, and black bears over the years.

Best of luck on the trip!

Sunset Bay State Park is a nice place to stay or play at the protected beach. If you want to stay there you better get reservations now.

Thanks I looked into it and all that is left is 2 40 foot back in sites which I am not sure if they would work or how strict the park is? I am 41'6" overall length with 3 slides so it may be pushing my luck. Do you know anything about "Oceanside Beachfront RV Resort" about a mile North of Sunset Beach State Park? I have reservations there currently and was told we need to visit the park. If staying at the park is that much better I will try to work an angle, I would just hate to get stuck without a place to stay, so any feedback or comparison between the two would be great? Thank you Mark

"Oceanside Beachfront RV Resort" is nice. With a big rig most of the state parks are a very tight fit.

Note: If you put a bit of info in your signature people will know a bit more about you and will help with info you might ask. KEN

Find setting at the top right and then bottom left to Signature. If it's too long it won't work.

Lake Tahoe is a great place for kids in the summer. There are the obvious things like hanging out on the beach, fishing or hiking all over. But on the North Shore there are tons of other things. You can float the Truckee River, bike trails all over the place, rent a boat on the lake or take a tour cruise. Squaw valley resort has an adventure camp at the village with a ropes course and other activities. Or you can ride the tram up to High Camp and there is swimming and other activities. The choices are endless and Reno is only 40 miles away and you can catch a AAA baseball game with Reno Aces or one of the dozen events going on there all summer. I guess with such a ride range of ages.... it will be hard finding something they are all happy with doing. Good Luck!
