Grand Design Recreational Vehicle Co. announced today the opening of its third production facility in Middlebury, Ind.

“The overwhelming demand by dealers and retail customers for Grand Design’s Reflection mid-profile fifth-wheels necessitated the opening of our third facility,” said Don Clark, president and co-owner, noting that Glenn Miller was appointed as plant manager.

According to a press release, the new facility will allow Grand Design to run Reflection fifth-wheels on two production lines. Clark reported that the company recently hired 70 employees for the new plant and expects to fill an additional 65 positions.

“Since the start of our company, we have been able to provide approximately 500 new jobs to the Middlebury and surrounding communities,” Clark said. “We feel blessed to have been able to attract the excellent employee base we now have.”

Clark also indicated that Grand Design RV anticipates the opening of an additional product line this calendar year. “We are extremely fortunate to be among the fastest growing RV manufacturers in our industry” he said. “We attribute our accelerated growth to our customer-focused sales, service, manufacturing and support teams. Because of our people, products and our unique business model, we have been able to attract the ‘who’s who’ of RV dealers in the industry.”
