    Discolored floor under furnace overheated

After having to have a technician replace WH element, he noticed the floor looks burnt under furnace.
    Has anyone else noticed this?
It doesn’t look bubbly, just browned.Click image for larger version.

Trying to get a "frame of reference" for what we are seeing in the picture . . . can you take a wider angle pic?

Can’t take another pic. I can’t get to that area in basement I’m too big.
That pic was taken by a young man who fixed my WH
It is the right rear of the furnace, right next to water heater.

No, there’s about 6” of space between the WH and furnace. Real tight to get back there, on my unit you have the PS 1 water , Water Heater, then furnace all on Street side.
I’ll try to get a better look when we settle at a spot. We’re in transit to Tucson now,.
It was snowing this morning in Oklahoma, going to 20 tonight in New Mexico.
Tucson should be more tolerable, to tear into it.
    Thanks

Is this a stain...or is the floor burnt? If it is from overheating i would not run that furnace again until problem resolved. Trailers burn very fast once they get going....use your fireplace and/or a ceramic heater until they figure out what is going on.

The shape and color look like a burn but the picture is poor quality. I'd crawl my fat rear end back there before turning on the furnace to verify. Probably stick a smoke detector down there as well while I was at it. Cheap insurance.
