    Dirty Laundry and 303

Yeah, I know putting your dirty laundry on the internet is not really the best thing to do but...
What do you 303 owners do with your dirty clothes
especially on a long extended road-trip. I was thinking maybe
the shower stall (in a springy hamper basket of course) and just moving it out for showers.

Probably the same as we do with our present rig, in a basket under the bed.

We have one of the tall 14" square collapsible hampers. It holds 2 or 3 loads of laundry. We kept it in the shower in our previous fifth wheel - what a pain! We just finished a 5 week trip in our 303. We kept the hamper in the left (bathroom) side of the taller middle closet. I took it out about once a week and washed. We piled shoes on the bottom of the other side of that closet. We only have rain jackets and fleece to hang. T-shirts go in the linen closet, jeans and shorts above the bed, and extra towels above the rear sofa.

Right now, hamper is in the spare room at home ready to be loaded with clean sheets and towels to go back in the camper. It also collects random things to go back in camper, like Corning Ware that came inside with leftovers, bag clips, some LED bulbs.

I was thinking about making a hanging shoe bag for the closet. Have not yet figured out a good place to store shoes and I always take at least 4 pairs. We can't use the space under the end of the bed since our Golden retriever sleeps there.

BTW, under the bed doesn't work for us since we have a residential mattress plus a foam topper and it is so heavy that my husband holds it up while I grab stuff (like extra blankets).

Our bed is heavy too so that is out. Things we use but not often went under there. The closet might work on shorter trips but I'd hate to loose that space for clothes when we go on our 3 month road trip

    Marcy -

We have not done a 3 month trip. Longest we have been is about 8 weeks. We found that all we needed were 2-3 pairs of jeans, 2-3 pairs of shorts, about 14 t-shirts, and various jackets. Of course, we don't get dressed up at all so jeans/sweats/tshirts work just fine.

We hang a laundry bag in the large BR closet. We put a large, 3 drawer plastic chest from Walmart on the left side of the closet so we have more drawers. It takes about 2/3's of the closet width and just fits so that the closet door closes. The right side of the closet is used for hanging the laundry bag and storing a small vacuum cleaner. So far it works for us, but we are always changing things to make them work better. We'll see.

Dressed up?? What's that?? isn't that when you get out the black jeans that have no holes We are definitely in the casual category too.

I'm thinking to take about 2 weeks worth of clothes to cover the times when a weekly laundry isn't convenient, that will buy a few days without having to turn the undies inside out.
We have more than enough empty storage I guess maybe we should use some it and leave closet space for laundry.
The more I think about the shower idea the bigger PIA it sounds.
Tumbleweeds, I put the little vacuum under the bed and a broom in the pantry.

Our stick vac is about 1" too tall to fit in the closet. A larger house vac would fit, but really don't need it for the amount of carpet in the 303 I keep the stick vac and a mop in the nose storage. So far the broom stands in some corner. I bought a Command Hook to hang it in the bathroom, but have not yet put it up.
