Exterior Finishl Discoloration

Looking at the pictures, I reached the same conclusion. It appears to be the protective coating reacting to thermal differences.

Ok but if it's a reaction to the spray- on protection why is it only on one side of the unit? There's framework through out every wall but only one having an issue. Definitely a possibility but seems a little odd since all sides of the unit where treaded and are all exposed to the same environment. Before I touch it I'll contact GD and get there feedback.

Any chance that side showing the variance is exposed to the most sun uv’s while in storage? Just trying to figure what’s different as you said.

EDIT: relooking at pics, the sun is definitely on that side during pics. Don’t know if that is the norm for your storage spot.

The entire finish should look like the "shiny" strips over the aluminum frame. The larger dull areas are what doesn't look right. I would suspect that the aftermarket finish was not mixed or applied correctly on this side of the trailer. Maybe it was too warm/cold/sunny/? on that side of the trailer when they applied it. I would start with the dealer and/or the contractor who applied the coating . . . I don't think this is a manufacturing defect that GDRV could help with.

It was applied at the dealership before we picked it up. My worries are the finger pointing between GD and the product manufacturer for the spray protection. We all know the dealership won't do anything for a 2015 unit. Actually this side does get more sun during the summer months when we but it at the lake. I'll keep everyone posted on the fix once we get it figured out.

I have a similar thing going on with my 2014 Reflection 337RLS.
In my case the fiberglass exterior finish is a bit darker where the framing in the sidewall exists.
t doesn't appear over every frame member, however. And it is only on the two sides that get
the most sun exposure in storage and while we're set up in Florida for the winter.
There are no bulges or signs of delamination, just a discoloring or shadow appearance.
