    Wall Structure

I am not familiar with how the interior is manufactured. I want to attach a shelf to a wall but not sure how to go about attaching it. I doubt that it has drywall but don't know and don't want to do something and find out what I did, doesn't work. HELP?

The interior walls are hardboard with decorative covering...wall studs are 2 x 2" wood of unknown spacing. If you're wanting to install a shelve, you'll want to find the wood studs. A conventional stud finder will help, but the location of them is pretty obvious when you start pushing on the wall surface.

    Hi Patrick and Dave:

The GD literature says that the walls are aluminum frames. But, a stud finder should still work.
If you happen to get the right weather combination . . . You can see condensation on the outside walls where the frames and studs are (sort of like a propane tank). Of course, it would be a lot handier if GD would provide drawings to owners . . . but that is a whole different topic discussed elsewhere on this forum .

Hey Rob...I was thinking that Patrick was referring to interior walls which are wood studded. As you mentioned, the laminated exterior walls are aluminum framed.

    Hi Dave,

Interesting that the interior walls are wood studs . . . the "advertising" doesn't say anything about that
But, that would be the "less expensive" way to go. I am looking forward to a plant tour at GD . . . it may take them a week to get me out of there !
