We have an appointment at 8:00am to trade in our old Keystone Cougar and pick up our new 337RLS! We purchased the Cougar in 2007 and used it several times a year for weekend jaunts and two week vacations. The farthest we ever took it was to Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore.

The number one reason we're switching brands is because of the reputation for quality that Grand Design has built. The Cougar was a case study in poorly built RVs. It was a rare event to take a trip where we didn't have something break. I should have known of the problems we'd encounter when it took nine weeks to repair the issues that were found in the PDI. From slides, to landing gear, everything seemed to have failed at one time or another. Sometimes multiple times. But now it's time to move on to Grand Design.

We're not going to wait. We will head home tomorrow afternoon, load up and spend three days on the road to Lake Roosevelt in Arizona to do a shake down. If all goes well, we have a couple of short trips planned in April and May, then a four month, 10,000 mile excursion starting in June! We need a reliable, quality built RV now that we're retired, and from all of our research, Grand Design fits the bill.
