There is a solution but it can be tricky. Full power is the first setting to light. Once lit very slowly turn the burner back toward off from the full on/light setting. You should see the burner slowly reduce in power the closer to off. If you careful you can dial it back. Not sure if this will work on all stoves, but give it a try.

    Hope this helps

I just checked ours and the above solution worked well.

Poor quality, we need some relief. Tell us how to adjust down the burner gas pressure. This unit is our second grand design unit because of the quality in prior unit. May now become our last and loose our constant praise of this company.

Just about all nicer fifth wheels are using the same stove/oven. Or maybe some have the new Insignia; not sure how that one simmers but it sure does look like it could set the rear wall it sits against on fire as the burners are really close to the rear.

Anyhow, we consider the simmer issue mute now that we have a simmer plate. A few other things get our 'dander' up, but not the stove anymore.

Just purchased a 303 RLS. Second time out and just used the cooktop. Same problem. Thanks to the previous threads, we'll be orderign a simmer ring from Amazon. Sad that Furrion couldn't create a cooktop you can simmer on. Also have a Furrion oven FSRDD22LA, which does not have a consistent temperature and bakes unevenly. Love the Grand Design...dislike Furrion appliances.

Have you tried the work around solution mentioned in post #12 ?

This will also work for simmering (place under the pot) and is a multitask-er https://www.lodgemfg.com/shallow-rou...ddle?sku=L8NG3

One of the reasons I chose Grand Design was Mr Clark's statement about "continuous improvement" as a core attribute for the company. I fear that this attribute has fallen away since the sale to Winnebago. There isn't even a good mechanism for them to hear about these issues unless the read these posts or stumble on them at a rally. It is too bad.

GD has their own web page and do actively participate there. As this is a privately owned site and there have been conflicts of interest in the past, they do not participate here any more. Now having said that there is a wealth of good information here, You just need to filter out some conversations and opinions once in a while.

    Hope this helps
