    110 power to cool fridge

I plugged in 110 from my home outlet by adding a 50amp to 110 adapter so I can cool my fridge a day or two before we leave and keep the battery charged. When I connect the power a sound comes from behind the water control board that sounds like a water pump but both are turned off. It that normal? I was told by someone it was just the inverter trying to charge the battery.

It is the converter fan. It will run while converter has load.
