Rear rack on 310GK

We are trying to trade our 2015 337rls Reflection for a 2018 Solitude 310GK. The numbers are okay, we are just waiting on payoff on our trade and final papers to be completed by what very well be the most incompetent dealership I have ever seen. However, that isn't the point.

The 310GK comes only with a rear bumper and apparently doesn't offer the option for a receiver hitch. We need a rack back there to carry bikes, firewood, generator or whatever we need for that trip. What are other people putting on for racks?

We had a rack installed on ours by the dealer just because we wanted to carry our bikes and some stuff out back, from what I've read it's the only way to not void the frame warranty. It bolts to the fame rails and is welded to the bumper. I'll take a picture later today when it's light out.

Thanks, I'd love to see pictures when you have a chance. Our dealer really didn't offer and solutions. I would rather have something a little beefier than one of the bumper adapters.

We had our dealer weld a receiver hitch to the chassis frame and it sits just under the bumper. I am now able to carry two electric bikes with no problem or sway

Would you have pictures of your install. We have the same 5er and just bought two ebikes.

There is definitely confusion at Lippert regarding hitches for wide frame trailers (101" wide) and it was difficult dealing with Lippert until I spoke to Emily Stahley (Call Center, Tech Lead) who cut through all the confusion. Emily found out that although Lippert does not have an "off the shelf" hitch for these trailers, they will make one that can be welded to the trailer and will NOT void your frame warranty!!

The only reason for making the effort to go to Lippert (who makes the frame), is for them to add a hitch is so it doesn't void the warranty. I'm really shocked to see posts that suggest a Lippert hitch will void their frame warranty. A 3rd party hitch will definitely void the warranty as listed in their frame warranty.

Last year at the Goshen Rally, Lippert built a "boat hitch" with a 2" receiver, chain bracket, and a skid plate and welded it to the rear of my Solitude. I'm allowed to carry a maximum load of 300 lbs of bicycles, kayaks, equipment, etc. Its specifically stated not for towing.

Call Lippert at *(574) 537-8900‬ and tell them you want the boat hitch that was installed on a Solitude 369RL at last years Grand Design Owners Annual Rally at the Goshen Fairgrounds. Mathias was the Technician who installed it on my trailer.
