Question for 376th owners who haul motorcycles (or other gas powered toys)

We’re looking at the 376th for our next rv so that we can bring the bike along. I was wondering if there is much of a gas smell that permeates up to the bedroom above the garage?

    Does you bike smell now?

We have a 2016 380TH for now and haul a Victory XCT. My wife wants the 376TH also.

After we ride, we let the bie cool down for a 1/2 hour or so before putting in the garage. Only have ever had a slight smell and it dissipates quickly. LOVE our 376 for full time living for six months in Florida!! The front living room is fantastic, especially when you are entertaining. We went to the Tampa rv show this week and after looking at many others we decided we could never NOT have a front living room and could never move to another brand!!

I have the 376TH and we are also full timers. No, we've never had an issue with smelling gas or anything else in our bedroom. I would not be putting a gas can or anything else in my garage that would be giving off fumes that might permeate the living area. The garage has two fresh air vents in it, one near the front and one near the back, both on the side walls.

This is a great forum and the information and assistance I've gleaned from this forum has been pretty spot on however, if you're also on facebook, there is a new group just for 376TH owners (and those interested in the 376TH) here....Grand Design Momentum 376TH RV Owners..... https://www.facebook.com/groups/531138453932686/
SOLD my 2017 Momentum 376TH being pulled by a 2014 Ford F-350 Lariat, FX-4, Crew Cab, Longbed, Dually. Not pulling the 5er, catch me on my 2013 CVO Harley Ultra Classic.

What bike do you have? If it's a Harley, B&W (known for their hitches) makes the B&W Biker Bar for Harleys. No straps and no front tire wheel chock required and one person can load and unload by their self. I've towed from ocean to ocean and up over Hoosier Pass (11,500 feet) with no problems. Here's a link to some pics of my install...... https://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index....881#msg1422881

When we first moved in we had horrible gas smell. When we would turn on the bathroom fan it got worse. So a mission began. First I taped off all the seams between the garage and the bedroom. I disabled the lift a bed as I didn't need it. Then I installed a fan to suck out all the fumes from the garage.

These things helped, but the way that I finally cured the problem was to put all new fuel lines on my wife's 1983 Honda Trail CT 110. That was were the fuel smell was coming from.

Kind of a backwards way of saying there isn't any odors from the garage unless your motorcycle is in need of repair.

That's why I asked the "OP" Does you bike smell now? in the first post.

How rude, asking someone if their motorcycle smells. What about your shirt, does it smell?

Just kidding, sometimes I can't help but be a little bit adolescent.

    How is Whistler, BC?

I'm guessing windy with a little new snow. KEN
And yes, my shirt probably does stink, because I'm still a workin' man.

Thanks everyone. Yes my bike does smell (sometimes)

I have a 2012 Harley Ultra Limited and after riding there will be a gas smell for a short time in my garage. There's no leaks, just the nature of the beast and it does dissipate after a while. As Sandi mentioned above, it sounds like letting it sit outside for a short time before stowing would help that situation. Also JCZhome's comment about fore and aft vents will also help. I'm also aware of the "biker bar" and that definitely looks like a solid alternative to tie downs.
    Thanks again for the input!
    Bill
