Finished the First Shake Down Trip!
We just got back from our first trip with the new 337RLS. All I can say is "Wow". What a comfortable rig. We drove from Tucson to Roosevelt Lake Arizona. It was 137 miles one-way. Along the way, we encountered some 8% uphill and downhill grades! The Ford F350 Diesel did a great job with the Reflection and maintained the speed at the 55mph limit.
We have a list of concerns we need to get the dealer to address. But we feel confident that they'll be able to turn it quickly. There were quite a few initial quality "misses" that should have been caught during manufacturing, or the PDI's at Grand Design or the dealer. Most of them are relatively minor, and a few I could even address myself.
There was also some damage to the interior of the unit when a dealer's employee entered the unit with a leaking pen in her back pocket. She got blue ink on the wall panel, and it wouldn't come off. In fact, when she tried to clean it, she damaged the panel so badly, that it will have to be removed and replaced. It also looks like someone was trying to remove a sticker on the refrigerator and used a scouring pad. It was badly scratched on both the freezer and refrigerator section. The refrigerator panels will have to be replaced also.
But even with the problems we were thrilled with the rig and will be hitting the road for the summer in comfort.

Good to hear Jim - I am envious! I've had mine a week and haven't brought it home yet - can't get my trade in out of storage yet - I still have a snow bank in front of the door. Supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow so I'm hoping maybe Sunday I can get it out and get it unloaded.

Glad your trip went well! Sorry about the quality issues you are having. I have to agree with you, the Grand Design rigs are comfortable! It hasn't warmed up enough here in Missouri yet to go camping yet, but it won't be long!

Glad it all went well. We're so envious of all who are getting in their shake downs, Still waiting for nights at least above freezing so we don't have to re winterize.

Great to hear that your first trip went well! It sounds like you had mainly cosmetic issues which are easier to see when your in the unit and just relaxing looking around. That's when the "hey, what's that" show up. Enjoy your RV.

I'm really thinking the "cosmetic" stuff probably was dealer inflicted.

I agree it's likely dealer inflicted. Not likely to leave the factory like that. Our dealer did not remove 1 tag or sticker from anything.
I got dry erase marker on our wall yesterday and it was not easy to remove due to the texture but it did come off with a textured no scratch scrubbie , mild soap and elbow grease .
Maybe some "Goof-Off" or denatured alcohol would remove the ink?
