Hanging items from aluminum cross members in front compartment ok?
Getting all stuff we are taking from snb, have some longer items on there own poles. Is it OK to put a couple of small hooks of some kind into the aluminum frame. I am searching the forum for the thread showing storage ideas....anyone have a link?

Many have mounted shelving, hanging baskets, brackets, etc from the framing. Is it OK? It all depends on if you structurally degrade the framing. I am not trying to be flippant, just like a 2x4 in your stud wall at home can you drill a 5/8 hole through it to run electrical? Sure. Can you whole saw a 3" hole without effecting integrity of the 2x4 nope....

If your talking about the aluminum frame at the top of the basement storage area, it's not problem at all to screw into them for your hooks. I've seen fishing pole, broom, and lots of other items hung from hooks in this area.
