RV plates and Cups What are you using?
I’m curious to see what everyone is using for plates and cups. I want to get some elegant plates and cups to match the style of our imagine 2800BH. I’m leaning toward a non-breakable lightweight material. What suggestions do you have?

If you use the search function, I think you'll find this has been discussed before. We tend toward the simple... we use plain white Corelle and a couple of Tupperware Grab-Its for the microwave. We don't have to worry about breakage, they store compactly, and are easy to replace should anything happen (which it hasn't in 2.5 years of full-timing nor the almost 30 years before that that we used Corelle in the stix 'n brix).

We’ve used metal plates, Correlle and paper. Use what makes you happy. If you have expensive, heirloom china, go ahead, kids probably won’t want it

We also use Corelle mostly because we find it lightweight and durable. Things do bang around in the cabinets while going down the road. Depending on what home stores you have in your area, you should be able to find patterns that meet your needs. We have a Corelle outlet store in one of the malls near us, and they have some pretty fancy stuff...

We use mostly paper plates unless we have something requires lots of cutting or is juicy or saucy. Paper plates soak up those juices and get soft. Also when cutting a lot you will cut thru them. Messy even with a plastic plate holder. We hate washing dishes out camping so paper is the answer.
For other times we use Corelle type plates. Cups are plastic mostly. We have a couple glass wine glasses. Just can't get used to drinking a glass of wine from plastic. Coffee mugs are the normal type. We bought a sorta cheap silverware set that stays in the 5er. Walmart's your friend for most of the supplies we get.

Another vote for Corelle. In our tent and popup days, we used a lot of paper or put all the dishes in a box ,took them home and ran them thru the dishwasher.
Now, with the nice kitchen and sink, dishes are no problem. And the fresh and grey tanks are big enough we never worry about running out of water or storage.2018 Imagine 2800bh

We elected to go with Melamine for the lighter weight and low risk of breakage. Here's the product we went with:

We use melamine that we bought at the local restaurant supply. It is a little heavier gauge than what we found in the regular retail shops. We've used it for several years and have been very happy with it.

Finding big mugs was hard. I finally found some on a closeout online. They have a Christmas theme but that's OK. They hold lots of coffee to get us started in the morning.
