2250 Exterior hand rail

We are considering purchasing an Imagine 2250. The entry hand rails are not quite enough for my wife use. I have seen a Stromberg Carlson extended hand rail on the Camping World website. Has anyone had any experience in replacing the standard rail with the longer hand rail. I notice the standard rail has two screws on each attachment point. The Longer one has four per attachment point. My concern is whether the door post is wide enough to accommodate the extra two screws on each attachment point.

I can appreciate a DIY, but when putting additional holes in a sidewall, and flirting with potential warranty issues, I would consider erring on the side of caution and consult your dealer. Then you know it's installed properly and heaven forbid there is difficulty,,,it's on the dealer.

You'll find many unbiased reviews of dealer service departments on this forum. Few of them are good.

Personally, if I can't do a job myself, I go to a local independent shop that has treated me well and has a great reputation.

Thank you for your reply.We requested the dealer substitute the longer handrail. They installed the Strombetg-Carlson one and it works fine. Two holes on each bracket.
