    Mods to the Pantry

I finished a planned mod to the pantry this afternoon. We were in more need for closet space nearer to the door than pantry storage so I've changed the pantry into a coat closet. In our 337 we still have 2 pull out pantry cabinets beside the fridge so it was a good compromise for us. Thought I'd share...

Looks good Dave! It looks like it came from the factory that way.

Looks really neat Dave. I prefer my pantry but unlike the Reflection, my Solitude only has the 1 pantry. Of course, my compromise for only one pantry is the double fridge! I'm with Steve...it really looks like it was designed that way

That looks great. We ended up putting 2 3M hooks behind the bedroom door for the 2 jackets that we'd be wearing most often.
The little ledge on the floor that is there creates a small pocket so the door doesn't open up all the way anyhow.

Nicely done. But I would lose all the extra storage for my Twinkies and beer.

The other consideration was the loading up that pantry with heavy items like cases of beer, soda or water isn't something I want to do when towing as our 337 already has a 700+ lb weight bias to the street side based on the factory numbers with a empty camper. Ours was a prototype...I believe production units may not have as much weight bias, but it's something else to consider.

Marcy - like the idea for hooks behind the bedroom door.

Dave - we travel with a case of beer and a 20# bag of dog food. Where do you put them for travel?

The truth is that I'm still trying to figure those things out for our first trip!

You could take the shelves out of the "coat closet" and put the dog food on the floor , in a bin of some sort of course (that's where I'm going to put the dog food). I keep forgetting to measure the area I left so I can get a bin that will fit. Likely there is enough space for the beer too.

Another thought was checking out the cabinet door that is screwed shut in the hutch, maybe there's enough room there for a small bin or bag of dog food. Would have to be careful to not hit the fridge tho and add a catch for the door.
