We will be doing the same in the near future. So many small and some large projects. The only point for a stronger fan in the bathroom is the possibility of drawing black tank gases into the bathroom. Some posts have mentioned this. However, we have pocket doors so it might not be an issue. For us, the stronger fan isn't for the toilet....it is to draw out moisture from the shower.

The secret for not pulling in black tank gases is not to run the fan when flushing the toilet. Running the fan will draw the fumes in. Turn on the fan AFTER you have flushed and run water into the bowl.

That is likely the best and only solution to the issue. Now I have to figure out whether I want a Fantastic or Maxxair fan. Had a fantastic in previous RV and it worked really well. However, a lot of people seem to lean to Maxxair.

The real trick is to have an "exhaust only" fan in the bathroom and prevent an unwanted camping memory.

We have 3 Maxxfan Deluxe in our 2600RB and have had no issues leaving the bathroom fan on low to evacuate morning odors. In 3+ years of use we've replaced a noisy motor under warranty and a crank out of warranty.
