We will be doing the same in the near future. So many small and some large projects. The only point for a stronger fan in the bathroom is the possibility of drawing black tank gases into the bathroom. Some posts have mentioned this. However, we have pocket doors so it might not be an issue. For us, the stronger fan isn't for the toilet....it is to draw out moisture from the shower.

The real trick is to have an "exhaust only" fan in the bathroom and prevent an unwanted camping memory.
We have 3 Maxxfan Deluxe in our 2600RB and have had no issues leaving the bathroom fan on low to evacuate morning odors. In 3+ years of use we've replaced a noisy motor under warranty and a crank out of warranty.Jeff and Mary

OK so it's been a while since this was posted but I am now physically able to install my Max fan in the bedroom so your sage advice is very welcome. I was wondering if that was possible. Did you put heavier wire in?

Heavier wire was not needed. The fans are 12v and don’t draw much current. We just got close to the wire size on the fan and have not had any issues, with wiring.
It has been awhile since the installation of our 3 Maxxfan Deluxe units. They have not been as reliable as I had hoped. I have replaced 3 lift mechanisms and 2 motors. Starting to believe Heng fans at 1/3 the cost and adding covers for the existing lids is a better idea. Removal of the original fans was a pain.Jeff and Mary
