Not to be a wet blanket, but...it's not the towing as much as the payload; what your truck can safely carry. No matter what it says you can tow, if you go over the payload numbers on your truck your asking for problems that could be extremely dangerous not only to you, but to others. I know I'm going to get flack from some; however, the numbers don't lie and marketing departments like to play fast and loose with the facts.
If your payload sticker on the driver door post says you have an available payload of 2000 lbs and you put a trailer, of any kind, with a pin weight of 2000 lbs and then add people weight, 5th wheel hitch and other cargo, you're putting more strain on the truck than it is allowed to carry, legally and safely.
Then you have to make sure you don't go over the GAWR for the front and rear axles. A lot of numbers to keep track of, but it will pay in the long run.
Now, can you do it; sure, but should you? Food for thought.
So let the stone throwing begin🤗

You've got nothing to worry about with your tow vehicle, it's the folks that insist on towing a 5th wheel with most 1/2 tons that makes me cringe.

More than likely once you hit payload you hit the RAWR on most 1/2 tons.
HD trucks are a different animal in that respect.

Personally I have no intention of getting involved with yet another internet discussion about towing fifth wheels with half tons. Everything that can be said has already been said a million times over. That’s not the purpose of this thread.
