    Dimmer on the awning lights

Just finished this. Super easy. Dimmer switch on the awning light. Tied inline with the main power wire (not the jumper from switch to switch). The interior ceiling lights are next.

Where did you get the switch from?

I was wondering if they were dim-able, in my house some LED are dim-able and some are not.
That's great to know, they do seem very bright at night, another item on my to-do list.

Your lights at home are 120V AC powered and are a different beast all together then your camper. The reason why some are dimmable and some are not has to due with the "typical" home dimmer circuit and how the electronics inside the LED bulb operate, not the LED itself. The lights on your camper are all 12v DC. The LED's in the campers dim not by varying the level of the voltage (in other words 6v DC is not 1/2 brightness) but rather by PWM (Pulse width modulation) circuits. You need to purchase the correct LED dimmers for your camper lights.

I know it’s been awhile but are there any updates on if it worked? Any chance you took pictures of behind the panel while you were wiring it up?

I did our awning last summer and our ceiling lights and love it. Works great. I ordered directly from PCA but they are also available on Amazon. https://www.pca.com/marketplace/lighting/. You need fillers also. Here's a YouTube https://youtu.be/pPX_S9wx4l8

    Sorry for the thread hijack.
Did you use the short or long shaft model?

    Thanks.

This one EPL1012-L-B which I belive is long. I'll PM Marty Robinson aka Adapterman email. He will along with the adapter plates send you all the info you need for the install. All that you'll be missing in the pca dimmers.
