ShadyCamper, I ended up getting the Curt A16 and used the Turning Point wedge when I picked up my rig. It worked correctly but was not a perfect fit. There was a bit of movement side to side that started to leave some wear marks on the sides but there were no problems like you describe, so it sounds like your dealer installed it wrong.

I got the Curt wedge and it’s a perfect fit so there is no more play. So far the hitch has worked great.

I purchased the new Blue Ox super slider that mounts right over the gooseneck ball. The quality and workmanship is great. Loved the no grease plate and the pivot to move the hitch plate 11” back for more clearance on my 6.5 ‘ box.

It seems I'm limited in my options if I want to use the GM puck system on our truck. Those options are the Curt, Reese, and B&W Companion. There are a couple of other options, but I'd have to buy a rail adapter (Demco if memory serves), but that negates the purpose of the puck. Out of the three above, I'm leaning toward the Companion in part because I like the way the actual jaws are. They are cast, then machined to the king pin dimensions as a matched set. The Curt jaws appear to be cast to the dimensions but not finished or machined (I could be wrong though) and they don't seem to be as thick as the B&W's. The Reese uses a single hook jaw that I'm not sure I like. Seems like that jaw only makes contact with three sides of the king pin, not all the way around. The B&W also seems to be better built than the others. Keep in mind I have not actually fondled the hitches, I'm only going by pictures and descriptions. So at this point, my choices are first the B&W Companion, then the Curt (A20), then the Reese as a distant third. Any input appreciated.

I have the B&W RVK3600 for the Ram puck. I'm extremely impressed by the quality of the hitch.
The machined jaws and tight tolerances on the pivot pins on the B&W stood out compared to another hitch I tested that didn't machine the jaws & had slop in the pins.

Groovy! Thanks Gene. Just curious, do you have the standard pin box or are you using something else? I'm contemplating ordering our 381M with the Trailair Flex Air.

I've got the 5th airborne 16K pinbox. Would have gone trailair air but my truck doesn't squat and trying to maintain bedrail clearance and keep 5er level.

We have the Air safe hitch and really like it. Works great, solid and gives a great ride. Has plenty of adjustments to get the rail clearance that you need.

Thanks all. Looking for any more comments/recommendations of Curt versus Reese.

Dealer called today, they have a new wedge for the Curt hitch and a Reese hitch. Will let me choose when i can get back down there next week.

Seeing that you have a short bed, can I assume you're buying a slider hitch? If so, stay away from the Reese. We had 3 go bad before the dealer replaced it with a Curt. Besides mine, they had 2 others ready to go back to Reese. The Curt has been terrific, wouldn't go back.

The hitch was included in the purchase of the camper, so I'm not on the hook for the cost difference.
ShadyCamper - See this thread for some discussion about the Reese Titan hitches. This is the Reese top-of-the-line model. https://www.mygrandrv.com/fo...30867-install?
I assume you are not using a slider because of the wedge discussion for your turning point Reflection 150 Series pin box.
For those who might be considering a slider hitch, I have had no problems across 4 years of regular use with my Titan round tube slider Titan Hitch base. I know that Tom had problems with his Reese slider and there were others, but ours operates without any trouble.
