    Help with keys

Bought the Reflection 303RLS home, dealer gave us the main door key and the CH751 key. I found a key in the storage bay, Southco LS001. Problem is none of the keys will go in the lock for the main compartment doors. The CH751 fits the front compartment where the battery is. I have tried to insert all keys right side up/up side down, won't go in at all. What do you guys with this trailer have for a key that locks this compartment, street side and curb side. Called the dealer, they are checking as to what key will work, but I know you guys have the answer.

    Thanks,

The CH751 will fit the front compartment as you stated. My Southco fits the slam latch compartment doors. One was a little stiff at first. Horizontal is locked - Vertical is unlocked.

The Southco key is for the compartments with slam latches.

Try some WD-40 or graphite in the locks, they will work.

Well, nothing worked, the key simply will not go into the slot. It is like something is jamming it or the key is miscut or wrong blank used. Anyway, dealer called Grand Design they are sending a new key that is suppose to be for my unit, will wait and see what it is. Only thing, I leave tomorrow morning, Saturday, for 1 week on camping on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. This will just wait till I return. If the new keys do not work, then I am asking for a complete replacement of all the slam latches. That should solve the issue once and for all. Thanks for your suggestions, I had already soaked that thing in WD40 and Silicone Spray, used about 1/3 can over a period of 2 days.

    Problem Solved

Key issue turned out to be WRONG key. Originally had a Southco key, one sided cut like the CH751 that was laying in baggage compartment. It would not even go into the lock. Grand Design sent new keys to my dealer, they are Southco but 2 sided cut. They work. Thanks Grand Design . Now why was the one sided key in my baggage compartment to begin with?

How many different keys are we suppose to have? Which key fits the front compartment? My husband and I can't seem to get the keys we have to work the front compartment. We only have two different keys one for the door and one that works the compartments with the slam doors.

On our Reflection, the slam latches are a double-sided key from southco and the front compartment is a CH751 key.

    AmandaEthan,

You are missing the CH751 key. This is a common key, your dealer should have one available. By the way, this key will work on any travel trailer/5th wheel/Motorhome exterior storage door unless something has changed. A lot of people change their storage compartment locks for this very reason, everyone has the key to unlock it
