Blown Fuses when raising or lowering landing gear.

I have a new 303 RLS and have blown two 30 amp fuses when raising and lowering the front landing gear.
Has anyone had this issue and does anyone have any idea's why this is happening?

    Welcome to the forum!

The only time that I've blow the in-line fuse to the landing gear is when I've inadvertently run the gear up into the mechanical stop of their travel....suppose it would do the same if run into the lower mechanical stop too. Can you provide some more description of the events?

    Thanks Dave,

I have hooked the trailer up to my truck two times. The first time I attempted to raise the king pin from the hitch the landing gear stopped working, I found the inline fuse replaced it and landing gear started working again. The second time it happened while hooking up the trailer to the truck, I hooked up the trailer to the truck raised the landing gear and moved the trailer. When I attempted lower the landing gear nothing would work, I checked and the in line fuse was blown again. When I raised the landing gear I raised it until it stopped, is that incorrect and could that cause the inline fuse to blow?

I'm not sure about the first incident that you've described, but the second incident, running the gear up until they hit the mechanical stop will blow the fuse most times. It's best to mark a line on the landing gear to avoid running them into the mechanical stop.

Thanks for the information Dave, maybe I should paint a line on the legs to let me know when to stop raising the landing gear.

Yes Mike, that would be a good idea. I think the 303 has the same rear stabs that we had on our last camper. You can also pop the fuse on them by running them up into stop...I've tested and proven that also! You may want to find the fuse location for them too, just in case. Our last camper an a fuse in the DC panel for the rear stabs but the 303 may have an in-line fuse close to the switch.

If you're asking about the in-line fuse for the front landing gear, it should be above the battery. Just follow the power wire from the drive motor back and you'll find it.

    Dave,
I checked for that fuse and can't seem to find it. I have a cover over the wires coming from the battery with a wire bundle coming out, could the fuse be in there? If it is I would have to remove the battery to remove the cover. Does this sound right?
