We went out for a 4 night shakedown, first time out of the driveway other than to go to the dealer. We stopped at the dealer on the way to have the curb side slide adjusted, the dealer found a loose bolt and they tightened it all up and the slide is snug
as it should be.
Our 4 nights were great, the only things we did not try yet are the black tank rinse (but will now that we're home) and the AC. Everything else worked as it should. Our laundry list is short and more of a personal preference thing
than anything "wrong". I can't say enough how much we love our 303, what a great trailer. Comfortable, roomy and feels like home
Here's what we found
- The nightlight for the steps is way to bright, something a little dimmer or maybe even red would be easier visually. May find a way to tint the lens red or a red bulb.
- The bedroom window shade is not a night/day shade and in the right position the sun filters in quite brightly early in the AM. Solving that with a room darkening curtain, cut to fit and split into 2 panels and sewn on to the valance already there. Should look pretty good when it's done.
- The Smoke alarm works a little to good. It will let you know when you are about to burn your toast, with enough warning that it was not burnt. The dogs just loved it when that started beeping and it startled me pretty good.
- The water pump is loud, a little louder than expected and the pressure isn't quite as good as our last trailer either. Will have to squirm our way to the pump and see if we can cut the vibration some.
- And we joined the club of having to replace the 30 amp fuse for the front landing gear. Might be a wise idea to stock up on those fuses lol.
