Winter is Returning

So the Reflection is all loaded except a few clothes and food, all systems ready for a shakedown and what happens? Winter again! Temps are 33 right now with about a 20 mph wind and a projected low of 22 tonight with at least an inch of snow. I got nervous because temps tomorrow are only to be about 34 so I went out and drained the water system. I don't want anything to happen before we can try the Reflection out. Oh well, better safe than sorry - it's supposed to warm up later this week - maybe after Easter we can get out. Everyone taking shake down trips has both of us ready to go.

yep we are going through the same thing here! It was 81 degrees here today and we are expecting snow flurries in the wee hours of the morning!! We just got back last night from a trip and going again in two weeks--didn't think we would have to winterize again!! Well the husband blew all the lines out again! He didn't add the antifreeze-just crossing our fingers that it doesn't get tooooo low toooooo long!!! So sorry you guys didn't get to go out on your maiden voyage!! There is nothing like the fun of the first trip out!! Hopefully when you go it will all the sweeter!!

Woke up to snow and 27* this morning...had to turn on the furnace before going to bed last night so nothing would freeze. Looks like will have to do it again tonight or drain the lines and add antifreeze

Sorry guys. Woke up this morning to temps of 62 and a high of 81 later today. Heading out Friday morning for a 4 night trip. High temps will be upper 70's and low 80's. That's why we live down here. Hope it warms up soon for you.

Well the good news is we did get about an inch of snow last night but it has just about all melted. When I got up this morning, it was 22 but now up to a sultry 31 with winds at 13 mph (wind chill of 17) - some sun - it is supposed to get back into the 50's by Thursday. We're gettin there - just too slow

We got 3 to 4 inches in oakland county setting the record for the snowest winter on record with over 94 inches of snow this year. Lets just hope that's the last of it.

No snow here in Louisiana...but very cold in the morning. We have freeze warnings I'll be glad when this stuff is over finally!
