I was looking at the desk and wondering if it would be possible to put one of those child proof catches on the end. You know the ones that allow the door to open a inch or so then you push the plastic out of the way. Looked like there was enough room on the side so it wouldn't interfere with the desktop. I am nervous now that its happened to more than a couple of people. Might work as a safety catch and would be completely hidden when closed. Have to look again when my trailer arrives.

Damn I wish I had seen this thread earlier. We just brought our 369RL home this morning. Footrest was extended, didn't see it. Tore off the slide fascia, put a hole in the wall. I didn't think about contacting Grand Designs. Suppose I will. My desk was also latched when we left the dealer and was open when I checked inside during a fuel stop.
