Atwood refrigerator noise?

The fan is about 4" in diameter, and the bracket it's mounted on is about 6" long. There's not enough room for a second fan. You can buy an aftermarket fan (for around $35) and mount it beside the OEM fan, however. You could easily wire it up to the same thermister where they run together. The fans being used look like the same quality that you'll find in a desktop computer.

I'd suggest you hang in there for now, and test the fridge when temperatures get hot next year. My next step is to modify the chimney (from the outside) to where the airflow goes out the top vent.

Here is a thread I started about what I found (actually did not find) when I pulled my upper refrig. vent cover off. After installing the chimney, my refrigerator cools very nicely.

Bamaman, a couple more questions if I may . . .
Since you have had eyes on this fan, what size quiet "quality" fan am I looking for ? I assume that space in this area is going to be limited.
Do you think there is space on the OE bracket for more than one fan?

Great find ! I'm beginning to think that YouTube has the answer to everything .
This is exactly our fridge and now I have the exact same sound in stereo . . . from my fridge and from my laptop.

Between Bamaman guiding me on how to get the fridge out and you finding video on exactly what I will find and what I need to fix . . . what a great forum !

Now . . . I just need to find the best quality, quietest computer fan out there . . . . .

Thanks a lot Curtis......now the sound is in quadraphonic in our home !.......remember that "high end" 8 track guys and girls ? My gosh that fridge fan sound is nauseating on the video 2 and worse on video 1 ! Good news is that our fan seems to be quieter and does not run that often.......maybe the new fridge we got in fall of 2014 was better than the original Atwood fridge installed in 10/13 when our 303 was built.

What's an 8 track? If you watch that whole video he's saying a lot about the Atwood refrigerator without saying it.
