Our First Trip

Well the weekend winds down from our maiden voyage in the 385. We had a great time besides the weather being cold and raining. I was not very good at taking pictures, so I only have one of the lower section of the garage door.. LOL!! The trailer fully loaded pulled fine, but the truck sure knows it is back there. I Have 3 weeks until our next trip, and already have that countdown started.

With the crappy weather, we left the camp ground a lot earlier then we usually do, so when I stopped for fuel I weighed the set-up. So here is what I found: full of fuel, 2 dogs and the wife, 1/4 tank fuel in fuel station, just got back from camping so it was still loaded (besides a little light on the food) and the 2 golf carts in the garage. Front axle:4280, rear axle: 7540, trailer axles: 15740, total: 27560. You sure know it is back there!! I think an automatic is in my future.

The next time I go out I will stop again and lift the camper off the truck so I can weigh the camper and truck separate.

Isn't that the truth! I would take a crappy weekend camping then a good day at work, but I need to work to pay for camping
