Putting pictures above slide out

The middle of our slide outs have what look to be picture frames but I cannot figure out how to slide a picture into them. Has anyone done this?

Just lift the wood piece on top up and slide the picture in.

I know the frames on the ends of the slide outs are that way but the oval spaces in the middle don't have a cover on top

Yep...that's what we discovered. At first we thought they were speakers! But then we thought...how would wiring for that work in a slide
