Has anyone installed a blue ray player in a 310gk?

Have a ton of Blue rays and would like to install it in the Unit, since the tv retracts I cant run an HDMI from the dvd to the tv so the other option would be to run it to the radio/tuner. Has anybody done this and what was your solution?

AFAIK the radio will not pass a Blu Ray signal, only SD DVD.

if you're not adverse to it, you could drill a all hole in the countertop and pass the hdmi cable through it. There may be some wireless hdmi kits available as well. Monoprice.com is a good source for inexpensive tech stuff.

I pulled the HDMI out of the radio on my 310GK, ran it thru the hole to the left rear & plugged it into the blu ray. Five minute deal, no holes to drill. If I want to use my satellite, I unplug from the blu-ray & into the sat receiver. Some day I'll snake a HDMI thru the wall to the TV, but this works for now.

I removed the HDMI from the factory radio and ran it to the output of an HDMI switch.

Connected my new components to it all in the cabinet above the TV. The HDMI switch is also in the upper cabinet.
This way, all components are in the upper cabinet and only one HDMI cable running into the lower cabinet. See below for a VERY crude schematic.

I mounted a sound bar to the front of the cabinet and ran this HDMI to the sound bar.
I ran an hdmi cable from the sound bar output to the TV.

I want the same, I have nothing but blue ray ... I will find a solution. I was told that they make units that can directly switch out with the unit that came stock, and they said they are cheap. I will try and remember to update you as soon as I get it figured out.

Nice idea for installing a sound bar. Where did you put the sub?

I used a Samsung soundbar kit, which comes with a wireless Sub. I placed the sub behind the theater seating. Fits perfectly and there is access to outlets for power. I did use a power strip, but everything stays there permanently.

What sound bar and how did you mount it?Did you drill a hole thru for the HDMI cable? I was going to mount mine on top in front of the tv but that might block the picture a tad.

The trim piece above the fireplace is on hinges & will pull down. I put my sound bar in there drilled a small hole in the panel in front of the TV (it is very thin). There is a plug for the TV & plugged sound bar there.
The trim piece needs to be down when you are using the sound bar, but it is out of sight when not watching the tube...keep the remotes in there also so I can actually find them.
