Storing items in the front compartment
Has anyone stored anything in the front compartment (where the front jacks are located)? I currently have a small air compressor and a fan in there. Just wondering how well they will travel and if any damage will occur (like bust through the bottom). The units are not heavy, no more than 10 pounds for one and maybe 5-7 for the other. Thanks in advance

I've carried lots of cargo there. Right now, I probably have 30 pounds of fishing tackle stuffed in that compartment. I've never had a problem.

I don't think you will have any problems busting through the floor, mine is 16 Gauge steel. You could lay some 1/2" plywood in the bottom if you need added support on top of the sheet steel.

We have 2 chairs, plastic fold up tables and the patio mat in there. 2 trips and nothing is wrong. Towed an hour in the rain yesterday and no water in there either.

The steel used for the compartment floor looks about 1/8" thick and should handle just about anything you could put in there. I just installed a pair of GC2 6V batteries in ours. 130 lbs. Removed the stock battery box and put the new one on a piece of 5/8 plywood which covers the hole. I was suprised at what it took to drill a drain hole for the new box.

Right now, I have two 6V glass mat batteries, two 20 pound solar panels, and two fishing boxes. I don't expect any kind of problem.
