For a do-it-yourselfer, it's much less than that. $237.

Yeah, it's the labor to drop the cloroplast that kills. Still, I was flabbergasted at how much the overall labor was. Since my rv has two gray tanks the cost for materials would be a bit more, but 3/4 of that bid was labor.
I've obviously never dropped the cloroplast before. It seems to be a relatively major undertaking.2017 Ford F450 - our kids call her "Big Red"

If you ever need to drop the coroplast, the hard part is getting it back in place. But there is a trick to making it a little easier. Cut a 2"x4" a little longer than the width of the frame. Then, clamp the 2x4 to frame to hold the coroplast in place while you screw it back to the frame. Move the clamps and 2x4 and repeat the process until it's done.

That's not that unreasonable and I can't resist a neat mod like this. I wonder if anyone has done this on a 337 and knows how long of sensors to order. I'd certainly like to avoid having my fiver out of action waiting for the parts. Anyone know if the tanks can be accessed adequately with just one side of the belly down and how much of it has to be dropped for access?

If the sensor pad is too long, you can cut it down. That's what the install video shows on their website. Otherwise you can probably call GD with your VIN, and hopefully they have the information on the tank depth.

Ok so I called Grand design yesterday evening. The tech set me straight on the tank sensors. I had approximately 5 gallons of gas in the generator tank and 10 gallons of water in he tank. He explained to me that the tanks only read and display 33.3% this is why my gauges were not showing any thing. So I told him that at the dealership I saw 33% on the display but when I got home no thing on the display. Then he said that I have fresh water tanks that are connected with a hose. And the tank I put the hose in to fill up is not the tank with the sensor in it. ( so the water transferred over to the other tank and even out and at that time not able to display the correct or any reading). This hole time I thought my new camper was broke. Wow I feel dumb!

You're OK. Its the sensor design that is dumb. They don't work most of the time so no one pays any attention to them.

Mine is doing the same exact thing, we also just picked ours up and grey tank only reads 33%. I feel like I’ve tried everything and can’t figure it out! I’ll let you know if I do!!!
What changed for the new GD...
