This is almost exactly what I'm planning on doing and I noticed in the picture that you have a Progressive Industries EMS, too. A couple of questions:
1) Any issues since installation? (About 7 months since install.)
2) What's the benefit of the sub-panel? Only thing I can think of is it limits (by means of the sub panel's main breaker) the maximum draw allowed through the Xantrex to the RV. But can't you do the same thing by turning off breakers in AC circuits you don't want powered?
3) Are you using the ATS function in the Xantrex or do you have a separate ATS?
4) Do you have a schematic showing how everything is wired together? (Would be very helpful!)
5) What would you do differently if you could do it over again?2017 Ford F-350 DRW 6.7L Platinum

Howard,
1 - no issues since install; and that particular EMS unit is about 7 years old as I had it in a motorhome previously.
2 - I used a sub panel because I wanted all my outlets, & frig on the inverter and I couldn't do this with the panel GD installed.
3 - if by ATS you mean Auto Transfer Switch, I used the Xantrex to determine when to switch over to batteries when AC fails (or is not plugged in).
4 - I'll attach a diagram of the wiring. It isn't the fanciest thing but it should help.
5 - I think the only thing I'd do different is place the EMS and xfer box closer to a door in case I ever have to access either of those. I go into them once a year to check all the electrical connections/lugs to be sure they aren't loose. oh - I have a remote display for the EMS I put inside the rig in the electric panel area as well as one in the basement on the DS so I can see input power once I connect to the power pedestal.
I hope this helps.

I am curious as to how much weight this adds to your rig.

Resistance is Not Futile, It's Voltage Divided by Current.

I know my wife likes to carry all sorts of stuff on extended trips, which probably puts us near the gross weight. I don't see how you can add all the batteries and solar equipment, as well as a possible generator and stay anywhere close to the maximum weight capacity.
