    Bedroom LED Light Dimmer.

Quick mod today.... We found the bedroom lights to be a bit harsh in the evening (too bright). So I installed a dimmer I got on Amazon.

    here is the dimmer......... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    here is a video demo......

Nice job. I didn't realize that LED dimmers had gotten so reasonably priced. Good info!

How did you wire the dimmer? It has 2 "IN" wires and 2 "OUT" wires. The wires in the wall to the old switch are both red/white, one hot and one ground. I'm trying to figure out how to connect the dimmer wires to the ones in the wall, so the dimmer works correctly. I can make the lights dim, but they don't go full bright or go out. Thanks.

Pull on the wire and you will find the grounds. All the wiring is "zip cord" and the grounds are just wire nutted together in the wall.

Both grounds on the switch go to the ground inside the wall. The "IN" 12v wire connects to the hot wire on the existing switch. The "OUT" 12v wire on the switch goes to the lights.

So if you measure the 12v at the switch one side will have 12v and one won't WHEN THE LIGHT IS OFF. The 12v hot wire is what goes to the IN on the dimmer and the other wire goes to the OUT. Like Jim said, find the white wires in the wall, they should be the ground.

Let us know how it works out for you.

You can get that same switch from the maker on ebay. I know it is the same because I got one.

    Traveldawg,
On my Imagine 2670, there are no white (ground) wires in the wall cavity - maybe in next stud over? Also I have 2 blade switch with 1 brown wire to one pole and 2 yellows going to the other - since I have 2 ceiling LEDs, I assume the yellow is the out to lights wire. I bought the same dimmer you have and the wiring is baffling me. Any ideas?

    Thx
