    convert loft bed to storage

After spending time in our 2015 350M, we've decided to convert our loft bed into storage. Is it possible to cut out openings in the wall between the loft bed and the garage area and install cabinet doors? This would give us quite a bit of extra storage that would be very easily accessed.

How is the loft bed support constructed? Is it mostly supported on the horizontal under the bed (aluminum beams), or are there any verticals tying it into the roof? Is the wall itself part of the support?

    Thanks for any input.

    Garage storage

Same here, been using the loft for fishing rods but would like to "wall off" the loft in the living room and install cabinet doors in the garage side of the loft. Storage for my guests using the garage as a room. If anyone gets any good ideas, please post pictures/details. I'm going to see if I can get a construction blueprint of that area from GD.

Hi, to answer your question, no. I put the idea on the back burner but I'm due to bring my trailer to a RV shop in MD for some other work and I'm planning on presenting the idea to the owner. I'll let you know if he comes up with any suggestions.

FWIW, the smaller 328 does not have a bunk and there is a pass thru storage cabinet ( door on both sides) directly above the interior door to the garage. I would suspect the interior wall structure would be very similar.

This is what we did. Bar allows us to use the ladder that came with the RV, off set so the ladder hooks do not touch the wall.

That looks great! It's exactly what we want to do! Can you please give me any details regarding the process? Material list?

Wow, looks great! Do you have any pics from during the process? Curious as to what was behind the luan board or did you just cut and make some trim for all the edges?
