    Replaced Kitchen Faucet - 310GK

I really didn't like the stock kitchen faucet, aesthetically and operationally. So, with just one, that's right, one, run to Home Depot, I replaced it today.

The original. It splashed water out of the sink and forever dripped after turning off. I also didn't like the control on the side, you can call that a personal preference.

The original has 1/2 connectors which I knew a replacement would not. Notice the power outlet and extra hot water line with shut off valve (out of view) for the optional dish washer (which I do not have).

In a moment of brilliance, I covered the electric outlet with a plastic bag before spraying water all over. And a moment later, turned off the water pump/city connection AND opened the low point drains before disconnecting. Here's the new faucet supply lines hanging down and the 3/8" to 1/2" adapAters installed. While the guy at Home Depot couldn't find that adapter my Dear Wife found a shopping cart full of them in another aisle.

All the under cabinet work done and leak tested. I took the initiative to tie back the lines.

Here's the new faucet brand and model.

    And the adapter fittings.

I don't know why, but it feels like there's a lot more room on the island.

Dang it. I told the DW to look at another post. Didn't tell her to go to MODS and DIY, but she did. Just got the phone call asking if we can do this. Thanks for the pictures, but now I have no excuse.

Really great job of installing the new faucet. Ours has been leaking also and we have talked about replacing. The pictures make it so much easier.

    Keep up the good work.

Thanks for this post TerryZechman. We had the same issue with our 2019 310GK with the water splashing all over the counter. I followed your lead and replaced the faucet with the same Moen model. Thanks to your post there was only one trip to Home Depot!

Nice work, I decided to remove my old faucet too and I'm planning to buy one with 20-inch long retractable hose, which model did you have in the past? As I can see it had retractable hose, can you tell about the problems you had with it, because now I have an ordinary kitchen faucet, but I want replace it with retractable hose faucet and I never thought about it could be uncomfortable some way.

@TerryZechman Just wanted to post a thank you for the detailed write up with photos. Just did the swap in our trailer (due to a leak) and you kept it to one easy trip to the hardware store. Never would have gotten the right adapter. So thank you!
