    Furrion USB and IPOD

Has anyone plugged their Ipod into the USB and got it to work? I have tried 3 different Ipods and can't get any of them to play. I have read the instructions and played along as pointed out but still no luck. On the menu screen on the stereo it just says "Loading" but it never will play or even recognize any of my Ipod's. Bad unit? Unit not capable of interacting with an Apple product? Looking for suggestions.

I am having same difficulty. CDs work fine but unable to get USB to work. Wondering if I should reset or if wiring install is not correct or what? Hope it's just my error but not sure. Anyone else getting their USB to work?

I couldn't get the IPOD to work in mine either. The USB is evidently not compatible with the IPOD driver software.

I was thinking that I might try putting the files on a flash drive and plug that in directly.

Okay, I got it figured out! I used an auxiliary plug from the IPod headphone jack to the AV-in jack on the front of the Furrion system. It worked perfectly. This is the same way we played our IPod in my wife's Pontiac. It is a mini-jack to mini jack. Here is an example.

Once you plug the cable into the IPod and AV-in jack, hit the AUX button until AV shows up, and viola, your IPod will play!

Awesome. Thanks so much. Will have to get an auxiliary plug and excited to be able to listen to my iPod music. :-)
    Thanks, Jim

Sorry, I forgot to post that I did the same as Tuscon Jim. I have the cord in my truck as I have an older smart phone and I listen to Pandora the same way. I am surprised that any stereo produced today is not compatible with Apple products. It was great to listen the my music for the weekend.

After reading Jim's solution....I went out and bought an auxiliary plug and connected up my iPad. Yep, it was really great to listen to my music this weekend, as well. I have a bunch of iTunes playlists so being able to listen to music from my iPad inside and outside. CDs worked great on the system but much rather use my playlists. Thanks.
