    USB charger not working

    So I finally found something in my Solitude that doesn't work. In the under cabinet charging center, the USB charger isn't working. The cigarette lighter jack works, but not the USB. Anyone else have this issue? If so and it's fixed, what was the issue? Haven't taken it apart yet, but I'm suspecting a lose wire.

    We have exactly the same issue so I suspect there is a trick here that we are missing!! Someone out there will have a solution!!

    Most likely this is an internal component failure. Changing out the part is fairly easy... please call our Customer Service team at (574) 825-9679 or send me a PM with your 17-digit VIN, and contact information (name, shipping address, phone number) and we can get a replacement shipped out ASAP (along with a call tag to get the defective part back).

    Also, what are you charging with the USB connection? I don't believe it has enough to power to charge an iPad but does have enough for an iPhone. I imagine Grand Design can answer the question as to whether those USB outlets were designed to put out enough power to charge an iPad and if it is suppose to, then I guess I have a defective one.

    I thought it was just me. I've only tried it a few times...the blue light is on but it wont charge anything. We are taking it out for a full week trip next week and I'll try again. If it doesn't work I'll be giving customer service a call.

    Checked ours this weekend and the light is on and it charged my iPhone without any problems.

    Hi Scott (@Stuts),

    The station is capable of charging an iPad. It will just take longer than charging an iPhone. The length of time will vary depending on the battery state of your device when plugged in.

    Thanks Janice for the response. I specifically plugged in my iPad to the USB outlet and it said "Not Charging". I'm not sure whether that means I have a defective outlet but it does charge my iPhone. The iPad was an iPad Air.
