FYI we haven't decided on a bbq grill yet. So we just brought a Lodge cast iron grill pan with us. Using the small outdoor stove that comes with the trailer, I was able to grill pork chops and 3 rib eye steaks perfectly. The key is to have a seasoned pan, and let the pan come up to temperature. Sear the meat and then reduce the flame so you can grill without burning. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked.

Hmm seems like the Weber is the better choice. I have always preferred Weber products and one will be my next choice for the house patio. I would get the stand and optional Q griddle to allow versatility. Blackstone seems nice but some reviews site that it does not work well with wind with we seem to always have around WNY and PA. How is the Weber to clean?

We have been using a Camp Chef 3 burner stove with a 2 burner grill box. It's a cooking system and its so versatile! We often have fish fries or chicken fingers and fries when we are not grilling. You can check out all the gear at www.outdoorcooking.com or www.campchef.com.

Our daughter and son-in-law tent camp so space is concern. . . so they got a Coleman camp grill / stove (https://www.coleman.com/camp-propane...stoves#start=1) the only thing missing is the griddle. . . . . it uses the 1lb bottles but I would think it could be converted. . . . .

Totally agree about the Blackstone and wind. The first time I used it, I thought I was doing something wrong (and I grew up cooking on flattops in restaurants). The wind absolutely affects it. The Weber is a cinch to clean..... I order replacement oil pans on amazon, like 30 for $8. I use a wire brush to clean and I always Heat-Clean it before and after. I love that Weber grill, in my opinion, it’s a great buy!

We love our little Weber ‘Baby Q’ Q1000 grill. It’s served us well for 7 years with one grill replacement - fantastic for steaks. This weekend I converted it to use the low pressure LP outlet on our rig. Picked up a hose from a bbq supply place, removed the regulator (very easy to do - search YouTube) and screwed in the new hose. Fired it up and after 10 minutes my laser thermometer measured the temperature on the lid at over 400F and rising.

We have the Weber Q1200 and we freakin love it. We bought a quick disconnect hose for it to take propane directly from the rv just outside the door.
Cleaning is easy, as the grill plates come out easy. We burn off what we can, then soak em in a plastic tub with dish soap and water occasionally.

I have the Weber 2200 with stand, I also ordered an extra long “bottle to throw away” connection that I hook up to my curb side propane tank in RV.
