New Owner
We picked up our 305 last week and were camping 24 hours later. Very happy with the RV. We did have an issue with the dead bolt lock. When we arrived at the site, we could not get the key into the lock. Had to call a locksmith who picked the lock then adjusted it. Lock company sent us a new lock.
I noticed a thread that asks about towel bars. I installed one over the toilet with short screws into the very thin plywood wall. It seems to be strong enough to hold the weight. If not, I'll replace the wood screws with small toggle bolts.
Also saw a question about the Pullrite Superglide. Amazing how well it worked for us. This trip I'm going to try leaving my trifold Extang cover on when traveling.

I was surprised how easy the 305 5th wheel is to pull. I can't tell the difference on the road from our 26' lite Cougar trailer. I have an F-350 SRW diesel, and it hardly squats. The hydraulic level system is terrific, but it is worth reading the manual and watching the DVD before you use it. It can be a little confusing. I made a shelf in the front storage compartment for a couple reasons. First, I didn't want cargo sliding into the battery, hydraulics and controls. Secondly, it is nice to have two levels - the floor and the shelf. Everything is removable. I used velcro to hold the frame and shelf in place.

Congrats on the 305 Corsair2! We love ours too.
I'd like to see the front storage compartment shelf you installed. If you get a chance post a picRenee & Bill -- Central Louisiana

305 front storage shelf
Hi Renee,
These are pictures of the shelf. The frames on each side are 1x2's screwed with a 2x2 for the shelf. The shelf is 1/4" plywood with 1x2 strips screwed around the bottom of the perimeter and one up the middle. The corners of the shelf are cut to fit around the frame. Everything is held in place with velcro. I put sticky strips on the bottom of the frames and on the floor, on the bottom of the shelf and the crossbar, on the 1/4" plywood on the passenger side that protects the wires and hydraulics, and I put it on the ceiling and on the top legs of the frame then wrapped some from the ceiling around the frame and onto the ceiling on the other side of the frame. It is easily removed.
First time trying to send pictures - hope it works.

Very nice Corsair2, gives me some ideas as to what I can do with our front compartment.
