Hi,
How do you set your stabilizers when you are leaving the RV (305RE) for extended periods - greater than a week?

Yes, we have the auto level (levelup) system.
When we are not using our Solitude, it is stored/parked at my uncle's farm with the leveling system down.

If you look at the manual, there is a section that describes what to do when leaving the jacks extended for long periods under various conditions. Basically.... ensure they are clean and lubricated with a light oil ie; WD40 or silicone lubricant about once a week.

Corsair2,
We park our Solitude under the RV shed and leave the jacks down. We follow the directions in the manual or as Andy just posted...keep it clean and lubricated. So far there's been no issues.

I have a follow up question being new to this level up system. Do you put all 6 levelers down when storing or just the front two---or does it matter??. I currenty only have the front two down but do lube them every 10 days or so.

Gary, I put all six down and level the camper so that if I need to let the slides out, the camper is level. I clean and spray the legs weekly and I haven't had a problem with them in over a year of use.

Thanks Steve, Mine is in a storage facility but only a couple miles from the house so easy to get to to lube. I also was thinking it may take a bit of weight off the tires and suspension using all 6 so I heading over after work to put down all 6. One note--on my secind trip we noticed a popping noise from the levelers (front mostly). I went back and read a tread about GD recommending adding a different hydraulic fluid. I was glad to read that on the forum because my wife was getting pretty parinoid--it was pretty loud when its dead silent in the middle of the night. I will take it into the dealer shortly to have that looked at but from what I read its not a precurser to a failure.

Gary, do you use any type pads under the legs? I've read that pads, such as 2X12 pressure treated boards also help with the popping.
