It appears to me Doug’s method is different than Jason’s. Which is better?
Pull pin first and lower the leg with pad 10”, then use switch for balance of motion
OR
Extend inner leg via switch 10”, then pull pin for balance

Thanks everyone for all the info. It really is very helpful. I’ll be testing what works best as soon as possible. Next site is a one night pull thru so that’s not best testing grounds.... and I need more blocking to get the hitch off this Ram 2500 - so legs are not so fully extended!
Again, thanks Rob

Just went through a similar event last week, site was slopped so much it was difficult to get the rig unhitched and then get the Reflection level because of landing gear travel. Hate to admit I had to set it back on the hitch twice to get it right. If there had been 2 more inches of slope we would have had to change sites. I’ve lowered my Anderson ball to the last hole and found I have plenty of bed clearance, it’s a lower disconnect point plus a smoother ride. That’s on my F250 so it’s not the same for other TVs.
One note, we decided to snap a line from each hole in the landing gear and mark them 1 through 15 to make it easier to match each side up or offset them if leveling blocks are used on one sides wheels.DaveO_VB

DaveO- My fix has been to use higher blocks below the landing gear and try not to lower the inner extension more than 4 visible holes. This provides much more vertical movement to unhitch and level up or down as needed. I constructed a number of pressure treated wood blocks with webbing handles to create a better system. If I recall..... One is about 7”+ high and another is 2 1/4”. I stack as needed. I’m also currently at rather a sloped, sandy and rather bumpy site so had to drive on the ramps and use a wheel X chock to hold in place.
