Has anyone used a Yeti for food storage?
Has anyone used a Yeti and, if so, would you mind offering some feedback? Our Denali had a very large refrigerator so when we were going to be away from civilization for a couple of weeks it was never a concern; we had ample storage space. The Reflection refrigerator is smaller so we are trying to come up with a solution for extra storage of milk, some perishables. We seem to remember hearing that Yeti's are a great product for keeping things cold for longer period of time but, goodness, they are pricey. Would really be interested in hearing what others have yo say. Thanks-Suzi & Ken

You know for the price of a Yeti, you could buy a small refrigerator and forget about the ice.

I use a Tundra 65, the best cooler I have ever owned by far. You can use dry ice in the Yeti, and they most certainly will keep ice longer than a $50-$100 cooler. I kept ice for 5 days this past season in Myrtle Beach (June), others with us bought ice every other day. I like mine so much, I am buying a Roadie for personal use while on business trips. If you buy one get a cable lock too, people know what they are.

our son had the opportunity to use one several weeks ago in central AR. and kept drinks cold for over a week with dry ice. He was enthralled with its performance. He suggested the pelican coolers for a better price point.

I will say that I have hauled food for days in a regular ice chest and as long as you do not open it that often the ice will stay on top but melt on bottom keeping everything cold.
The yeti will keep the ice for over a week with very minimal melting especially if the week before using it putting it in your house to get the foam inside cool/cold. They are worth every penny IMO. I have 3 by the way. GL
