Microwave Recall

Just saw the following and wanted to make sure everyone checked their microwave.

Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain model year 2014 Solitude 369RL, and Solitude 305RE fifth wheel travel trailers manufactured February 21, 2013, through July 24, 2013 and equipped with certain Frigidaire KG-series microwaves, models CFMV152CLB and CFMV154CLS, manufactured January 27, 2013, through April 10, 2013 in the serial number range KG30607951 through KG31600670. In the affected vehicles, the microwave may start on its own and begin heating when unattended. If the microwave starts on its own and there are contents inside, a fire could result. Grand Design will notify owners, and dealers will repair the membrane/keypad component, free of charge. The recall began on May 12, 2014. Owners may contact Grand Design at 574-825-8000. Grand Designs’ number for this recall is 910001.

We had to replace ours last November when it mysteriously started coming on all by itself. Spooky! The replacement didn't fit into the recall criteria, thank goodness. When we saw the envelope, both my husband and I said "hmmm, wonder if it's the convection-microwave oven that starts on it's own?"

I am checking to see if mine is on the list but I got to tell ya. On the last trip after hearing our levelers sporadically making those popping sounds, had the micro wave turned on by itself in the middle of the night my wife would had me take the unit in for an exorcism ---and change its name to Casper
