If just the tiny speakers, I think I'll route a cable up to the Jensen so there's a little more oomph when we actually turn on the TV while camping. Best regards, Chris
    All questions OK here.

The standard config doesn't feed TV sound into the radio. I think it's possible to get sound from the radio when playing a DVD in it... don't remember for sure.

We gave up on the radio very early on, bought a $99 Blu-ray player and an inexpensive Visio sound bar for the TV with Bluetooth capability that lets it play music and internet radio from our mobile devices. The sound is ever so much better, and the remote for the little Sony Blu-ray player is so much better, radio is completely unused.

Take out your wallet and don't bother putting it away for a while... buying the trailer was just the beginning! Have fun.

There's an old saying we didn't mean to put to use on this purchase - Budget, Judge It, Fudge It. That's how we ended up with full body paint.

Where did you mount the sound bar? I'm definitely thinking that's a good option.

    Best regards,
    Chris

Since the TV when raised was already too close to the cabinets above it - making the up/down switch difficult to operate - the first thing I did was move that switch to the far left side near the slide wall.

Next, the TV is attached to the elevator on both sides with four long slotted pieces so I raised it such that it now bumps into the cabinets if I'm incautious about raising it. (One bonus of raising the TV like this is that it much more responsive to its remote since its receiver isn't partially-blinded by the cabinet.)

That allowed enough room to mount the sound bar onto the elevator immediately under the TV, which I did using a piece of aluminum angle. The sound bar is about 90% clear of the top of the cabinet when raised. Be careful to zip-tie wires snugly to the sound bar; ask me how I know.

Having told you all that, I learned just after completing the installation that there's a "secret" compartment above the fireplace. The ornate wooden piece above the fireplace flips down to reveal a storage area behind it. If I was starting over I'd be tempted to avoid the couple of hours of work I did and just stick the sound bar in there. For one thing, we wouldn't have to raise the TV to listen to music or internet radio.

    Have fun.
